Proverbs 17: 27-28

I believe when we speak with intention, people listen.
Speak less. But say more.

Social Media Marketing Inspired by the Slowness of Nature

Your Instagram account acts as the top of funnel when people meet you for the first time. It’s an initial vibe check where they can choose their own adventure of how they’d like to stay connected- join your email list, scroll the blog, sign up for your community, or listen to your podcast. The person they learn about there should be the same person they hop on a discovery call with.

Contrary to the social norm, I believe that you can build community, increase your visibility, and nurture relationships on socials without being glued to your phone 24/7.

I blend the slow and calm of nature (backed by science) with the success of a consistent social media presence (backed by my clients) to keep you front and center with the people you’d love to work with. (no cold DMs, cringy trends, or click bait posts here.)

Social media works best when it sounds like a real person.

Over the last four years, I've partnered with business owners across a variety of industries to help them show up online with more confidence, consistency, and clarity. I've seen firsthand that the businesses building loyal communities aren't necessarily posting the most; they're communicating in a way that feels relatable, reputable, and recognizable.

My background isn't just in creating content. It's in understanding people. Learning how they connect, what earns their trust, and how to turn everyday moments into content that actually means something to the people you want to reach.

The strategy I use today was built through years of testing, refining, and working alongside real business owners. Trends come and go; genuine connection never goes out of style.

Four+ years, dozens of businesses, and one thing I've learned:

Provers 17: 27-28

“The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.” NIV

The devotional read on about being mindful of what you say, and the power that words have. This character was how Grampy lived his life. He was a quiet people watcher, and surrounded by a family of yappers there wasn’t much room for him to get a word in, let alone a full sentence. But when he did speak up, boy did you listen. It was one of two things: either something funny and witty, or something really profound.

That’s when it all came together, The Bible verse that stuck out in my mind, how Gramps lived his life, and how I want to honor him by doing the same.

I consider myself so luck to have known such a wonderful man for 25 years of my life. He and my Granny have made such an imprint on each person they meet, sharing the love of Jesus, and preaching the Gospel to anyone that would listen.

I pray that my business honors and glorifies God, inspires others to know and feel the love of Jesus, and carries the legacy that Grampy built in his 92 years on this earth.

I spent 9 months trying to come up with the perfect name to rebrand my business to. Before it was “Payton B Virtual Solutions.” I came up with that, with zero guidance when I started my business. People constantly thought I was a VA and it caused a lot of confusion. My business had evolved over the last 4 years and I wanted a name that reflected my values now, and more accurately represented the industry I worked in.

January of 2026, I came across a profile with a familiar face, realizing it was someone I met shortly after starting my business. Her new name and brand reflected a meaningful Bible verse, and it all hit me. But to explain that, I have to back-track a little.

The fall of 2021 was what I refer to as a “series of unfortunate events.” It was a season of growing pains and grief that in some ways led to me starting my business the following January.

One of the devastating moments was the unexpected and tragic passing of my Grampy in October. I grew up with the world’s best grandparents, and losing him is a wound that will never truly heal. A few months later I was reading my daily devotional and came across a page that immediately made me think of him and burst into tears.

I read the books after the hype, discover shows years later, and still miss an old Aeropostale hoodie I wore until it fell apart. I've never been one to chase what's popular, and my approach to social media reflects that: less trend-chasing, more building something that lasts.
